Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be unused and in the same condition as received
- The item must be returned in its original packaging
- A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable:
- Wooden items or wooden components
(Example: wooden table or wooden top of the sewing machine)
Proof Requirement (Mandatory)
All return, refund, or exchange requests must include:
- A clear delivery video
- A proper unboxing video
- Supporting photos/videos showing the issue
If the video evidence is:
- unclear, incomplete, misleading, or missing

Returns Due to Damage or Defects
Returns are accepted only in the following cases:
- Transit damage
- Manufacturing defect
The return request must be submitted within 12 hours of delivery.
Products must be returned with:
- Original packaging
- All accessories, manuals, and parts
Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be granted in the following situations:
- Item returned in damaged condition not caused by us
- Missing parts not due to our error
Machine Set Orders
If a customer purchases a complete sewing machine set (example: machine + stand + table):
- If only one component is damaged,
👉 Refund will be issued only for the damaged component, not the full set.
Example:
If the stand is damaged but the machine is fine → only the stand will be refunded.
Shipping Cost Policy
- Shipping charges are non-refundable
- Only the product value will be refunded
Example:
Product price: ₹500
Shipping cost: ₹50
Total paid: ₹550
👉 Refund amount = ₹500 only
Free Shipping Orders
If the order included free shipping:
- In case of a refund, 25–30% of the order value will be deducted toward logistics and handling charges
- If the product is fully damaged, exchange is preferred
- If a refund is requested instead of an exchange, the above deduction will apply
Exchange Policy
We replace items only if they are defective or damaged.
To request an exchange:

- Share clear product photos and videos
- Proper delivery and unboxing video is mandatory
If the product is completely broken:
- First preference will be replacement
- If replacement is not possible, a refund will be issued
Warranty Returns
Valid warranty claims must be submitted within 12 hours of receipt of the product.
- Customers must prepay return shipping
- Return shipping cost will be reimbursed if the warranty claim is approved
Warranty claims are processed within 7 business days after receiving the product.
Approved warranty outcomes (subject to availability):
- Refund to the original payment method
- Store credit
- Replacement product
Warranty does not cover:
- Misuse
- Improper installation
- Electrical issues
- Unauthorized repairs
Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected:
- You will receive an email confirming receipt
- You will be notified of approval or rejection
If approved:
- Refund will be credited to the original payment method
- Processing time depends on the payment method
Refund Processing Time
- Credit/Debit Card: 5–10 business days
- Net Banking: 2–10 business days
- UPI: 2–7 business days
- Wallets: 0–3 business days
No refund processing fee is charged by SewingIndian.
However, payment gateway charges and GST are non-refundable.

Shipping Returns
